Square rectangular steel pipe

Description

Description: Square rectangular steel pipe is a steel pipe made by rolling steel strip through process treatment, with equal and unequal side lengths. Generally, the strip steel is unpacked, flattened, curled, welded to form a circular tube, then rolled into a square tube and cut into the required length.

Application of rectangular steel pipes: for mechanical equipment, solar energy equipment, steel structures, automotive components, bridge foundation piles, guardrails, and internal structures of ships.

Classification of rectangular steel pipes:

Rectangular steel pipes are divided into hot-rolled seamless square pipes, cold drawn seamless square pipes, extruded seamless square pipes, and welded square pipes according to production processes. Among them, welded square tubes are further divided into: (a) according to the process – arc welded square tubes, resistance welded square tubes (high frequency, low frequency), gas welded square tubes, and furnace welded square tubes; (b) Divided by weld seam – straight seam welded square pipe, spiral welded square pipe.

Square rectangular steel pipes are classified by material: plain carbon steel square pipes and low alloy square pipes. Plain carbon steel is divided into Q195, Q215, Q235, SS400, 20 # steel, 45 # steel, etc; Low alloy steel is divided into Q345, 16Mn, Q390, ST52-3, etc.
